In less than 24 hours, the Jacksonville Suns will welcome their parent club the Miami Marlins to Bragan Field for a special major league exhibition game on Saturday at 2:05 p.m.

The Marlins have closed out their Grapefruit League schedule and are spending the weekend with their Single-A and Double-A affiliates, the Greensboro Grasshoppers and the Suns. The Marlins are currently playing the Grasshoppers in Greensboro, then will arrive in Jacksonville tonight to face the Suns tomorrow afternoon. The Suns are also arriving in Jacksonville tonight after having a workout earlier today in Jupiter.

Earlier today the Marlins reassigned Jordany Valdespin and Jhonatan Solano to minor league camp, leaving 27 players still in camp for Miami.

Former Sun Tom Koehler is pitching for Miami today against Greensboro, while right-hander Dan Haren will get the nod tomorrow afternoon in Jacksonville.

Tomorrow the gates open at 11:30 a.m., and be sure to be in your seats at 12:15 p.m. when the Marlins take batting practice.

We will have a full radio broadcast of the game on the Suns Baseball Network, and in addition to the play-by-play we’ll have special guests from the Marlins join me throughout the broadcast.

Here are today’s #FishFriday links, we’ll see you tomorrow at Bragan Field for the Marlins vs. the Suns!
