The Jacksonville Suns (6-5) will take on the Biloxi Shuckers (6-5) in the third-game of the series with a first pitch set for 1:05 p.m. ET from Bragan Field.

Last night the two squads would split the doubleheader with the Shuckers taking game one by a 6-0 score and the Suns salvaging the night cap by a 5-2 tally.

In game one, Jacksonville starter Trevor Williams would get roughed up lasting 4 and 1/3 innings surrendering five earned runs on eight hits. The Suns would be held to one hit facing a combination of Brooks Hall and Tanner Poppe for Biloxi. Hall would earn the victory tossing a spectacular six innings allowing a solo hit while striking out six.

Game two featured the Suns quiet bats spark up thanks to Matt Juengel and Ryan Rieger. In a 5-2 win, the Suns were trailing 2-1 in the fifth and with one swing of the bat they took the lead after Juengel’s two-run home run. A few innings later, Ryan Rieger would continue the timely hitting in Tuesday’s finale ripping a two RBI triple to provide the Suns with some insurance and a 5-2 lead. Chipper Smith was strong in his start over five innings, the southpaw faced a bumpy second in which he allowed two runs, then he settled in to claim his second victory of the year.

Today will feature a pair of right-handers taking the mound for the Suns and Shuckers. Kendry Flores (1-1, 3.60) will get the ball in his third start in 2015, his last time out he was on the losing side lasting five innings surrendering three earned runs on four hits in a loss to the Montgomery Biscuits on 4/17. Tyler Wagner (2-0, 1.64)  gets the ball for the Shuckers, and through two starts Wagner has been impressive. He has victories against Pensacola and Mobile in which he’s only relinquished two earned runs on three hits in those two starts.
