The Jacksonville Suns (6-6) will square off with the Biloxi Shuckers (7-5) in game four of their five-game series Thursday night from Bragan Field with a first pitch set for 7:05 p.m. ET.

In yesterday’s 4-1 loss the Suns were held to only three total hits. The lone run produced by Jacksonville, came in the third-inning after Justin Bohn lifted his first double-A home run off of Biloxi starter Tyler Wagner. Wagner was impressive in his start for the Shuckers, allowing one earned run on three hits while walking a batter and striking out three in his Southern league-leading third victory of the year. Biloxi would fight back from the early one-run deficit with a three-spot in the sixth. Nick Ramirez and Michael Reed both provided RBI base knocks while a passed ball plated the third and final run of the frame. In the seventh Orlando Arcia arched a sac fly to provide some insurance for Biloxi who would hold on for a 4-1 win.

Today’s pitching matchup will feature Austin Brice in his third double-A start, Brice is 0-1 alongside a 5.79 ERA. In his last time taking the ball on 4/18 against Montgomery, he would last 4 and 1/3 innings surrendering six earned runs on six hits while walking three and striking out eight in a 12-5 Suns loss. The Shuckers will turn to southpaw Hobbs Johnson who has not recorded a decision, but does boast an impressive 1.42 ERA in two starts.  The former 14th round draft pick of the Brewers lasted four scoreless innings allowing three hits while striking out five in his last start against Mobile.
