JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Miami Marlins announced a series of transactions that impact their Double-A affiliate Jacksonville Suns roster prior to tonight’s game against the Biloxi Shuckers at Bragan Field at 7:05 p.m.

Catcher Brandon Bantz and outfielder Isaac Galloway have been transferred from the Suns to Triple-A New Orleans. Bantz caught five games for the Suns, going 1-for-14 at the plate, and this is the second time he’s been promoted to New Orleans this season. Galloway is hitting .185 (5-for-27) with a double and a triple in eight games played for the Suns, and this is the first promotion to the Triple-A level of Galloway’s career.

In corresponding moves, catcher Chadd Krist has been transferred from High-A Jupiter to Jacksonville, and infielder David Adams has been transferred from Jacksonville’s disabled list to the Suns active roster. This is the second stint with the Suns for Krist, although he didn’t see any playing time with the Suns last week.

Adams has been on the disabled list all season due to a right wrist contusion. He was signed by the Marlins as a free agent over the offseason, and has been in professional baseball since 2008. This included playing time with the New York Yankees in the major leagues in 2013 when he hit .193 with a pair of homers and 13 RBI in 43 games.

The Suns roster now stands at 25 active players, and a revised roster is attached.

The Suns and Shuckers will square off again Friday night from Bragan Field with a first pitch set for 7:05 p.m. ET. The Suns will send out left-hander Matt Tomshaw (0-1, 2.70 ERA) to the mound to be opposed by Shuckers righty Jorge Lopez (0-2, 9.00 ERA).
