JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Miami Marlins announced a pair of transactions that impact their Double-A affiliate Jacksonville Suns roster prior to tonight’s game against the Tennessee Smokies at 7:05 p.m. at Bragan Field.

Right-handed relief pitcher Casey McCarthy has been transferred from the Suns to High-A Jupiter. McCarthy was 0-3 with the Suns with a 7.20 ERA in 11 appearances.

In a corresponding move, right-handed relief pitcher Scott McGough has been transferred from High-A Jupiter to Jacksonville. McGough pitched in four games for the Hammerheads, with no wins or losses and he did not allow a run in his seven innings on the mound. McGough pitched for the Suns in 2013, going 4-3 with a 2.63 ERA in 36 appearances, and he was also a Southern League midseason All-Star that season. McGough missed all of the 2014 season recovering from Tommy John surgery on his right elbow.

Additionally, left-handed relief pitcher Fabian Williamson has been transferred from Triple-A New Orleans to Jacksonville. Williamson, who previously pitched in the Southern League with Pensacola in 2014, is 2-1 with a 4.87 ERA in 17 relief appearances with the Zephyrs.

The Suns roster now stands at 25 active players, and a revised roster is attached.

The Suns and Smokies will square off in the series finale Monday night from Bragan Field with a first pitch slated for 7:05 p.m. ET. The Suns will send out righty Scott Lyman (0-0, 10.80 ERA) while the Smokies will counter with right-hander Ryan Williams (1-0, 3.86 ERA).
