Riddle Returns to Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Miami Marlins announced a transaction that impacts their Double-A affiliate Jacksonville Suns roster prior to tonight’s game against the Pensacola Blue Wahoos at Bragan Field at 7:05 p.m.

Shortstop J.T. Riddle has been transferred from Triple-A New Orleans back to Jacksonville. Riddle played last night for the Zephyrs, going 2-for-3 with a pair of runs scored in his only game with New Orleans.

Riddle with the Suns this year is hitting .299 with four home runs and 17 RBI.

The Suns roster now stands at 25 active players, and a revised roster is attached.

The Suns and Wahoos will continue their series Wednesday night with a first pitch set for 7:05 p.m. ET from Bragan Field. The Suns will send out Scott Lyman (0-6, 6.50 ERA) while the Wahoos will send left-hander Cody Reed (1-0, 1.29 ERA) to the hill.

Suns fans can also listen to Thursday’s game on the Suns Baseball Network, 600 AM & 100.3 FM “The Answer” or through www.jaxsuns.com, MiLB.com, or the TuneIn radio app, coverage will start with a special “Suns Sunday” edition of the Memorial Hospital Suns Pregame Show beginning at 6:50 p.m. ET.
