The Jacksonville Suns (16-31, 45-71) will look to take the lead in game three of their series against the Jackson Generals (15-31, 44-70) tonight with a first pitch set for 8:05 p.m. ET from The Ballpark at Jackson.

After last night’s shutout win, JAX has now manufactured seven shutout wins this year, and grabbed their second of the latter portion of the year. The club’s last shutout win came on 7/4 against Chattanooga, and are now 7-11 overall in games featuring a shutout.

Austin Brice was impressive last night collecting his second straight winning decision, which saw the righty complete seven scoreless frames. The native of North Carolina tallied his fourth scoreless outing of the year, and his sixth quality start of the 2015 campaign. Last night’s performance saw Brice collect seven strikeouts, which now places him fourth in the Southern League in K’s (112).

Suns centerfielder Kenny Wilson on Thursday night generated his third four-hit game of the year, and his 31st multi-hit contest, which leads Jacksonville. JAX’s centerfielder was a double shy of the club’s first cycle since 2012. Wilson did steal a pair of bases as well which now sits him in solo possession of third in the S.L. in stolen bags with 27.
