The BayBears would get on the board right away in the first inning. Evan Marzilli worked a lead off walk, to then steal second, and move to third on a throwing error by Suns first-baseman Viosergy Rosa. Subsequent to the error, a wild pitch by Suns starter Jarlin Garcia brought home Marzilli, and leaped Mobile in front 1-0.
To the third, and Marzilli generated a two-out walk to then steal second and come home courtesy of Jack Reinheimer’s RBI single, that gave the BayBears a 2-0 edge.
In the seventh the Suns worked the bases loaded against BayBears reliever Will Locante. Now with Mobile reliever Jake Barrett on the mound, a RBI single by Carlos Lopez, a two-run double by David Adams, and a run scoring single by Rosa, completed a five-run frame. The Suns would lead 5-2 through seven innings of play.
Flashing to the top of the eighth, and Suns bullpen arm Juancito Martinez on the mound, a pair of RBI singles by Garrett Weber and Gabriel Guerrero made the tally 5-4.
In the last of the eighth, and a pair of runners on against BayBears reliever Adam Miller, Kenny Wilson looped a RBI single into right to give Jacksonville insurance and a 6-4 scoreboard advantage. Next batter Lopez would chop an infield RBI single to first to bring another runner across, and create a 7-4 tally.
